Agreement signed GPV – Greenfield Holdings

Export of Swedish Solar PV Modules to UK

Gällivare based GPV has signed an exclusive distribution agreement with a British company Greenfield Holdings Ltd. The accord grants Greenfield exclusive distribution rights to sell GPV’s solar photovoltaic modules and systems into the UK market. Gällivare Photovoltaic AB, GPV, will likewise become Greenfield’s sole supplier of PV modules.

- The agreement enables access to great opportunities on an important market, says GPV’s CEO, Michael Cederborg. Greenfield’s approach of working with best of breed suppliers within renewable energy coincides well with our own strategy of market-led system development.

Greenfield develops and sells turn-key renewable energy systems. The company’s MD, Tim Taylor regards the agreement with GPV as a method to securing supply and access to high-quality, custom-made solar power systems.

GPV is one of Scandinavia’s largest manufacturers of photovoltaic solar power modules. The company recently expanded its production capacity by 50% to 45 MW per annum. Michael Cederborg sees the immediate outcome from the relation with Greenfield in high-profile UK based demonstration projects that have the potential to develop into substantial sales of approximately 10 MW per year.

- The UK is poised for a rapid increase in installed photovoltaic generation capacity up to 2020. This is an excellent time for GPV to be entering the market, says Michael Cederborg.
